57-Year-Old Man Returns Home After Violating House Arrest
26 August 2016 | Case Results, Criminal Defense,
Previously, Indianapolis criminal defense attorney Sean Hessler represented a 57-year-old man in a burglary case, which resulted in house arrest and probation in lieu of a lengthy prison sentence. Eventually, this individual was found to have violated the terms of his house arrest by leaving home without permission. With this type of probation violation, there is typically not a lot of sympathy for offenders and he was sent to a work-release facility to serve out the remainder of his sentence. Based on the dire nature of his circumstances, the man knew that he needed strong representation and again called upon the legal services of the criminal defense lawyersat Hessler Law PC.
During a hearing, attorney Hessler appeared before the judge and zealously argued for his client. Hessler successfully persuaded the judge that his client should be permitted to return to house arrest, rather than the more stringent work-release program. Due to Hessler’s ability and experience with sentencing guidelines, his client was able to return home instead of spending considerable time in a secure facility.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
