Man Gets $40,000 Back after an Asset Forfeiture
10 May 2019 | Case Results, Criminal Defense,
Not long ago, an out-of-state hardware store owner needed an Indianapolis criminal attorney for an asset forfeiture case. He had apparently sent over $40,000 in cash through the mail, and police dogs detected traces of marijuana on the bills. When the police found the money, they confiscated it as proceeds of drug dealing. However, attorney Sean Hessler aggressively fought against the seizure and by articulating the apparent faults in their assumption, the man received all of his money back.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
