We recently represented a 16-year-old accused of recording a sexual encounter with another minor and sharing it. This led to felony child exploitation charges and could have ended with him being held in juvenile detention and mandatory sex offender registration despite the young man’s age. He reached out to Hessler Law to get help from an Indianapolis criminal lawyer with juvenile defense experience.

We evaluated the evidence and there was some dispute regarding who was actually the person in the video. By pointing out the weaknesses in the case and submitting our client to a mental health evaluation, Sean Hessler resolved the case with an informal adjustment. As a result, the juvenile saw no long-term consequences and could move on with his life.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
