Recently, a 22-year-old man was riding his 4-wheeler in a rural area, just outside of Indianapolis, but apparently ventured a little too far. He found himself in a restricted area, near some active railroad tracks and his innocent excursion resulted in a railroad trespassing charge. While this offense may seem like little more than an inconvenience, it carries very real legal consequences as a level B misdemeanor, punishable by up to 180 days in jail and $1,000 fine. As such, the young man knew that he’d need capable legal representation to handle this matter and contacted the Indianapolis defense attorneys with Hessler Law PC.

Attorney Sean Hessler utilized his extensive experience with similar property and trespassing cases to find his client the best possible outcome. Attorney Hessler negotiated with the prosecution and drastically reduced the impact to his client by reaching an agreement to dismiss the railroad trespassing charge in exchange for the young man completing 20 hours of community service. This resolution greatly relieved the client, who was now free to resume 4-wheeling in more appropriate areas.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
