Hessler Law, PC assisted a man, who was living in another state when he learned that an incident that occurred 12 years ago in Indiana resulted in significant criminal charges that he was completely unaware of until a recent traffic stop. Apparently, after an argument with his then girlfriend, the man in question decided to leave the state and move on with his life. However, due to the girlfriend’s claims, felony charges of intimidation, criminal recklessness, and misdemeanor battery charges were filed and a warrant was issued. Time passed without incident until he was pulled over where police advised him of the pending warrant and the consequences he faced if it was not properly addressed.

The man contacted Indianapolis criminal defense attorney Sean Hessler, who immediately set to work to handle the man’s difficult situation. First, attorney Hessler contacted the prosecution to have the warrant recalled and began the process of building a defense to these very old allegations. It became clear that the prosecution would be unable to produce the necessary witnesses to substantiate their case and attorney Hessler negotiated to have the case completely and permanently dismissed without the client needing to return to Indiana.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
