It is no secret that the probation system in Indiana is complex and when oversights occur, by either the offender or the state, the results can be devastating. For example, a young woman became aware that her probation for a prior offense was being held up by an issue with the payment of her fees and fines. Despite her claims that everything was paid in full, the state was not showing her payments were received, and if the matter was not resolved, it could potentially end with the woman behind bars.

Desperate to find a positive outcome that did not include a jail sentence, the woman contacted criminal attorney Sean Hessler. After reviewing the records, attorney Hessler determined that all the payments were made. When presented with a clear accounting error, attorney Hessler expedited the closing of her probation and she was excused from further concern.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
