Felony Theft Charge Ends with Dismissal

A 19-year-old student was charged with Level six felony theft after allegedly breaking into a car and stealing. This exposed him to up to two and a half years in prison. A 27-year-old barber was charged with Level Five possession of cocaine, Level Five possession of a handgun by a felon, and a misdemeanor for driving while suspended. He committed a traffic violation, and when he was pulled over, the police found the cocaine and a gun. This is a serious offense, so he knew he needed a strong defense. Reduced Penalties for Traffic Case & Probation Violation

A 26-year-old customer service representative needed a criminal defense attorney for two separate cases in two different courts. The first case was for a speeding ticket that was escalated to a Level six felony as a habitual traffic violator. This was the man’s fourth such offense and significantly increased the possible penalties. Domestic Violence Case Dismissed for 54-Year-Old

A 54-year-old factory worker was charged with A misdemeanor domestic violence and faced up to a year in custody. Apparently, he was arguing with his wife, and some observers called the police. In the police report, his wife stated that he pushed her over a chair. However, when Hessler Law investigated, her statement was different and it was evident that his client had been drinking. Five Welfare Fraud Felonies Dismissed

A 35-year-old secretary was charged with a Level 6 felony for welfare fraud, Level 6 felony theft, and three Level 6 felonies for perjury. She faced up to six years in jail.

Her child had been in and out of various state-run placement facilities. During that time, she continued to receive money from the Social Security Administration (SSA). Although she was using the money for her child, the SSA alleged that she shouldn’t have since he wasn’t living with her all year.
